A private equity firm was purchasing a physician practice and needed to understand what was in the operations and financials. After a month of work, the private equity company was still unable to obtain financial answers.
To determine the company’s financials, Warbird provided a strong CPA/Accounting consultant who was used to handling “a mess.” The consultant conducted a detailed analysis of the general ledger accounts, verified account balances, and assisted in the creation of all financial statements.
Warbird was able to provide an independent analysis, which ultimately differed from that provided by the physician group. In two weeks, we answered over 30 questions/punch list items that had held up the private equity firm for the month prior. The acquisition went through with the new valuation, and our consultant assisted with the sale.
