Practicing Leadership as Service.
Warbird Consulting Partners understands authentic leadership as service; in addition to serving clients and colleagues, we believe in the concept of serving our community by way of providing experience, time, and resources. Each year we serve in various outreach programs in the Atlanta community and beyond.
Live to Serve and Serve to Live.
Civic Programs and Community Events
For more than 30 years, SafeHouse Outreach has provided a hand-up, not just a hand out by offering practical, emotional, and physical assistance to those in-need in the Atlanta metro-area. Warbird has supported SafeHouse through various events listed below.
SafeHouse Outreach sponsors over 400 children each year in the Atlanta metro-area in supplying each child with a school backpack filled with the necessary school supplies according to grade. Since 2010, Warbird and its employees supply backpacks, school supplies, and volunteer hours at the Backpack-A-Palooza event held at SafeHouse for children and their parents or guardians.
Christmas Time in the City
SafeHouse Outreach sponsors six Christmas parties for at-risk children and in-need families in the Atlanta metro-area to spread the holiday cheer by providing Christmas-themed refreshments, children’s craft projects, and a gift exchange. Warbird provides volunteers for this event to help with various holiday-themed activities.
Thanksgiving Chili Outreach
SafeHouse Outreach holds an annual chili cook-off outreach event paired with a health fair, basic life enrichment stations, and entertainment for the in-need Atlanta population. Warbird has served at the event as a volunteer group to help serve food and assist with activities.
The Charlie Company Ravens is a Savannah, Ga. based Apache Combat Air Assault helicopter unit that Warbird has supported since 2012. Throughout the years Warbird has sent letters and care packages to the units they have sponsored as a thank-you for service and encouragement and appreciation from home supporters. Warbird will also assist with transitions back home in the form of job search assistance including resume writing skills, interview skills, and career coaching support.
For more than 40 years, MUST Ministries has addressed the basic needs of residents with facilities in Cobb and Cherokee counties as well as programs in various counties surrounding the Atlanta area with help of hundreds of volunteers annually. In 2013, Warbird donated 200 lunches as a part of the MUST Summer Lunch Program for children that usually depend on one meal per day while school is in session and are not able eat balanced meals during the summer break.
The Crestview Center is a government-operated nursing home for people who need assistance beyond the norm and do not have funds to reside in private assisted living. The residents are supported by the nursing staff and organizations who donate resources and time to uplift these residents. Since 2012, Warbird has donated large holiday baskets filled with goodies, basic essentials, and hand-written cards around Christmas and Easter to spread cheer throughout the halls of Crestview.
